If I was going to make a commercial about how drivers ed is not enough, I would try to use more visuals of drivers ed cars in wrecks, or something to that effect. The worse the wreck the better it will grab peoples attention. The intended audience would be just the general public. Mostly people that would have children that are going through drivers ed, or people that know somebody about to go through drivers ed. This could also be geared towards the people that are about to take drivers ed as well, that way they know they should look into alternative ways of taking the class. I think it would also be effective to throw in a few statistics on how many people that take drivers ed get into wrecks, or something about teenage driving being a leading cause of death. Something that helps people to understand how serious driving really is.
I would be sure that the audience understood that the drivers ed system of right now needs to be upgraded so that the streets are a safer place for everybody. The teachers are not teaching as much as they should, and people are not as responsible as they used to be. The main eye catcher will be a very bad wreck happening.
